Wynonna Earp Panel Set for ATX Festival

Get ready, Texas! The Earpers are coming for you! The ATX Television Festival announced Tuesday that the supernatural western Wynonna Earp will be a participating for the first time. Syfy and IDW Entertainment will be presenting a panel on the show during year seven of the festival, which is held in Austin, Texas from June 7-10, 2018.

Creator and showrunner Emily Andras will be joined on the Wynonna Earp panel by stars Melanie Scrofano, Tim Rozon and Katherine Barrell. Things will get extra exciting for fans in attendance as Andras and the cast plan on revealing a first look at the show’s third season, which returns to Syfy and Space Channel this summer. They will also host a discussion on how the series has impacted the genre with its portrayal of leading heroines and championed the importance of fandom and positive LBGTQ representation.

The Wynonna Earp announcement came along with announcements about other programming taking place at the festival. Among the series added are a Felicity reunion, which will feature star Keri Russell and cast members Scott Speedman, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman, Amy Jo Johnson and Ian Gomez, as well as director-producer Lawrence Trilling. There will also be a celebration of classic “TGIF” comedies and the world premiere of Mayans FC from FX.

The ATX Festival panel announcement is yet another exciting piece of news out of Wynonna Earp, which is currently in production in Calgary, ahead of Season 3. The show has also announced a few intriguing casting announcements including Megan Follows (Anne of Green Gables, Reign) in the pivotal role of Mama Earp. Lost Girl and Dark Matter alum Zoie Palmer will be guest starring as a woman named Jolene and Franke Drake Mysteries‘ Chantel Riley will play a recurring role as Kate.

After having to give up her baby at the end of last season, Season 3 will see Wynonna, post-partum and back to her whiskey-soaked recklessness as she’s more determined than ever to destroy the Earp Curse and its originator, Bulshar.
