The much anticipated return of The 100 is almost here as Season 3 will officially (and finally!) kick off Thursday night at 9 p.m. on The CW. When viewers next see Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) and company it’ll have been three months since the events of the Season 2 finale and the takedown of Mt. Weather. Clarke is still off on her own, while Bellamy (Bob Morley), Abby (Paige Turco) and everyone else back at the former Camp Jaha are trying to make a go of things without her.
Yes, Clarke may be on her own, but she’s got plenty of people looking for her–they just don’t all have her best interests in mind. In fact, she’s being hunted, no doubt as some sort of consequence for her decisions at Mt. Weather and killing off all of its inhabitants. Just who is after her and what they want with her will be clear to fans after the premiere. But until then, we thought we’d offer up a few hints about what fans can expect to see from the Season 3 premiere, “Wanheda: Part 1.”
It’s not all dark
Now it’s only natural that since the extinction of everyone at Mount Weather the mood is going to be pretty dark when Season 3 opens. However, one of my favorite moments of the premiere is a rare, light-hearted moment featuring several cast members that will no doubt leave you with a smile on your face. Of course the moment of brevity won’t last long, but I nonetheless greatly appreciated it.
Jasper is hurting
Jasper (Devon Bostick) is not doing well at all. He’s hurting big time over Maya’s (Eve Harlow) death at Mt. Weather and he’s definitely taking things out on those he feel were responsible. Sadly, that means most of his anger is directed towards Monty (Christopher Larkin). While it’s hard to see these BFFs at odds, it makes for some really great material for Bostick and Larkin, who in the past have given us some of the show’s lighter moments.
Has Jaha found the City of Light?
When we last checked in with Jaha (Isaiah Washington) he had met ALIE. Will she finally show him the City of Light that he’s long been looking for? We definitely learn more about her in the premiere, as well as check in on Murphy (Richard Harmon) and his status since we last saw him hanging out in a very Lost-like hatch. It turns out he may not be as happy to have found the hatch as he was when we last saw him in the finale.
The premiere of The 100 introduces viewers to one of Season 3’s most fascinating new characters, Roan (played by Black Sails’ Zach McGowan). In the interest of not giving too much away and spoiling things, know this, Roan is one of the fiercest, toughest Grounder warriors we’ve met to date. What does he want? Whatever it is, he won’t stop until he gets it.
Has Lincoln become an arker?
We all know Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) made no friends with his fellow Grounders when he decided to stay and fight alongside Clarke at Mt. Weather. Since those decisions were made he’s definitely not welcome back in his old clan. So he’s been hanging out at Camp Jaha (now known as Arkadia) and helping Bellamy train soldiers. Will he make things official and completely switch sides in the premiere?
