Supernatural: 7 guest stars we need back Part 2

Welcome to Round 2 of the Seven Supernatural guest stars we want back asap. Miss the first round? Catch up here.

For now, I’m back with more on my Supernatural guest star favourites! Did you miss me? No? Well, that’s OK, I’ll get over it. You know who we all miss, though? Daddy Winchester, and Bobby Singer. You’ll notice I didn’t add them to my list. It’s not that I don’t love and miss them, because I do. I just think they both had such great send offs and bringing them back would cheapen that.

So on that note…

5. Charlie Bradbury – Charlie was the sister Dean never wished he had. I loved her from the minute she appeared in Season 7 to the moment she followed Dorothy to Oz. She was another great female character who distinguished herself from all others that came before her. Her reappearance in Season 8 with the LARPing episode was the highlight of that season for me. Although Charlie may not have known much about salt rounds and exorcisms, she had her own unique way of fighting evil that complemented the boys’ style. The good news is we won’t be missing Charlie for long. I have it on good authority that she will be returning from Oz this season, a changed woman (what could that mean?)

6. Bela Talbot – Bela was one of many female characters the writers have tried to introduce on the show. I honestly don’t understand why so many fans were hating on her. I personally love characters like Bela who challenge the boys and caused trouble for them. It keeps things from getting stale. Also, in a show where female characters are either virtuous or purely evil, I enjoyed watching one that was a bit more complex. Bela was charismatic and sexy and her morals were ambiguous. Plus she totally had chemistry with Sam, which I would have liked to see more of. She had chemistry with Dean too, come to think of it. But the biggest reason I’d like to see Bela again is that she had a fascinating backstory that was never developed, involving a crossroads deal that left her possibly abusive parents dead. Note to writers: giving the fans what they want isn’t always a good thing.

7. Adam Milligan – He is still trapped in a cage with Lucifer. Dean promised to get him out. When are the boys going to go get him!?! This has bothered me since he and Sam fell into that hole at the end of Season 5. I’ve been holding on to this for a long time, not just because I think Adam’s storyline had so much potential to disrupt the Sam and Dean dynamic in interesting ways, but because it was totally out of character for Dean to leave his brother in Hell without at least attempting to break him out. The dilemma was mentioned in the 200th episode, so at least we know the writers are thinking about it. Maybe some time this season…?

Bonus pick: Walt and Roy – Remember those guys? Shot Sam and Dean point blank in Season 5 because they were all bent out of shape about Sam starting the Apocalypse? Dean promised he’d find them when he and Sam got back from Heaven, but if he did got his payback, it was off screen. I would have liked to have seen that.

Let me know in the comments which Supernatural guest star you would love to see make a reappearance. See you after the break!

Supernatural returns from hiatus on January 20, 2015 at at 9 p.m., ET on the CW.
