Warner Bros cancelled Ellen DeGeneres's new show

Little Ellen, starring American comedian and former talk show presenter Ellen DeGeneres, has been cancelled by Warner Bros.

According to Deadline, the preschool-oriented animated series has been cancelled after two seasons, even though its third season was reportedly completed.

A June release date for season three was originally announced, but it was pushed back early this year, and the show will not return.

Little Ellen is largely based on Ellen DeGeneres's childhood, with Laurel Emory providing the voice of a seven-year-old Ellen.

For both seasons, 20 episodes of around 11 minutes each have been created. -

DeGeneres and Warner Bros. produced it as part of a three-part arrangement that also produced Ellen's Home Design Challenge and First Dates Hotel.

The decision appears to be related to the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, which resulted in the cancellation of Batgirl despite an investment of $90 million.

Since David Zazlav took over as president and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery a week ago, it appears that nothing is safe since many projects have been cancelled.

Deadline also reported that the reality television series The Big D was cancelled a few weeks before its release.
