John Fetterman, the Democratic contender for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, says he will not participate in a debate with Dr. Mehmet Oz in early September.
Fetterman mentions his ongoing rehabilitation from a recent stroke.
According to The Hill, Fetterman criticised Oz's campaign for mocking many 'concessions' that would be made if he accepted to confront Oz, including his health.
Fetterman criticised Oz, accusing him of making it "very plain that they find it amusing to ridicule a stroke sufferer."
In response, Oz's team stated, "John Fetterman is a liar, a leftist, and a coward."
