If Deadly Class’ premise of an elite institution for young assassins isn’t an insanely cool enough sell, the backdrop of 80s counter-culture is sure to win you over. As someone who lived through that glorious time, having been totally immersed in the fashion and music of the decade, tuning into this new series and learning about the world of Kings Dominion was a total no-brainer for me.
However, if you weren’t of the era of Duran Duran, The Cure and Depeche Mode, you’ll be happy to hear that the series does not rely solely on nostalgia. It’s quite contemporary and the themes at its core could not be more relevant today. Co-creator/co-showrunner and author of the original graphic novel, Rick Remender, is an 80s child as well. He and his team have recreated the era flawlessly, and introduce a heightened world we haven’t quite seen on television before.
If you’re planning on checking it out, we thought we’d provide a bit of a who’s who among the students and faculty of Kings Dominion. Check out the gallery below to learn all about the players of this Deadly Class.
