AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire is getting ready to boot up for its second season on Sunday, May 31 at 10 p.m. When it does come back, a whole year will have passed since Lee Pace’s Joe MacMillan set fire to a truck load of Cardiff Giant PCs.
Season 2 will see the show, which is set in the mid-1980’s amid the rise of the PC business in Texas, shifting focus to Mutiny–the proto-Internet startup that was founded by computer prodigy Cameron Howe (Canadian actress Mackenzie Davis) and Donna (Kerry Bishé) at the end of Season 1. As Cameron and Donna focus on Mutiny, elsewhere Joe and Gordon (Scoot McNairy) will be forced to pick up the pieces at Cardiff Electric after Cardiff Giant failed to become the game-changer they had hoped for.
In an exclusive first-look photo with The TV Junkies, AMC has released this brand new image of Davis as Cameron Howe.
For fans wanting a closer look at Season 2 and Mutiny, check out the clip below from the Season 2 premiere, which takes viewers inside the Mutiny house that Cameron was beginning to set up at the end of Season 1. It looks like Donna will still have her hands full trying to rein in Cameron’s reckless habits as they start their work together.
