No one can ever truly put themselves into another person’s shoes and know what they are feeling. No matter how hard they try or how badly they want to sympathize, sometimes those who love us just don’t get it. On AMC’s newest series Dietland, that’s exactly what’s happening to Plum (Joy Nash), the woman at the center of the new drama from Marti Noxon (Mad Men, UnREAL) that also stars Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife). The TV Junkies have an exclusive look at a clip from the upcoming Sunday, June 11 episode, “Y Not” that you can check out below. If you find that you can’t wait until then, viewers can also watch the episode early on AMC’s website right now.
In “Y Not,” written by Jacqueline Hoyt, Plum goes through withdrawal as she works on her new writing assignment and elsewhere, Jennifer rampages, leaving the country a fearful, bloody mess. In the clip below, Plum’s mom and her best friend, Steven (Tramell Tillman), try to talk to her about why she’s so frustrated about being overweight. She tries to convey to them what it’s truly like for her, as well as some realizations she’s had about how the world perceives her.
